If you are considering a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, then I can recommend Mr Jonathan Bell, from; consultation, clarification through to surgical competence. Mr Bell is a sleuth of the many inner workings of the knee, his correct diagnosis of my condition, admittedly rare, had evaded numerous previous professionals over a four-year period. Seven years on from my diagnosis and operation, I remain pain free and active. In addition, his back-room support staff is promptly knowledgeable furthermore, with established relationships with other expert professionals in their fields means, if he doesn’t know, he will forward you to someone trusting, who will.

The only thing I would criticize about my care was that I was admitted at 11.30 am and not operated on until after 6.00 pm, during which time I was left alone in my room and not updated as to when I would be taken down to surgery until I went to find someone and ask.

I chose Jonathan Bell for a knee operation - meniscectomy. Pre op and post op care and attention was excellent as was the physio he recommended. 3 months on I am back running and off the pain killers for the first time in two years.

Following a skiing accident I suffered an ACL rupture and avulsion. I was able to attend the Wimbledon Parkside within 24 hours of getting in contact and the team are obvious experts and diagnosed my condition quickly. Mr Bell is an excellent surgeon and immediately put me at my ease about what to expect and the operations to come. Under his care I have achieved a successful and speedy recovery.

I made an appointment to see Mr Bell having been recommended by a friend of mine, a previous patient of Mr Bell. I have to say that I was very happy with the whole process, from first consultation, how all staff at the parkside looked after me when undergoing the arthroscopy and the post op physio care. I felt in very safe hands, had a very successful result and would not hesitate to return to or recommend Mr Bell and the Parkside hospital.
